I have a 93 Bonneville SSE and my daytime running lightsaren't working. The headlight swich has been replaced but they still aren't workig. Can someone tell me everything that I should check and how to test whatever is neccessary to determine my problem. I have looked at all 46 pages of this thread and only see a couple of similar post. User "markwb" if you read this thread please contact me with what information you can supply to me.

Alright hambone35, I'm not real familiar with the 92-95 DRL's. There could be numerous possibilities though, I can supply some generalized info to try to help you out. There are a few prerequisites that need to be met. The gear selector is not in park, the ambient light sensor (on dash) is seeing daylight, and the headlights are off. On 96-99 Bonnevilles, there is a DRL resistor in the area underneath the PCM on the left side of the engine compartment towards the front. That is if even your PCM ( Ithink they called it ECM in earlier years) is located in that area. Whether or not the 93's had a DRL realy I don't know. Have you visited the Bonneville Club website, if not do so, there is a plethora of knowledge & info at BC. They will definitely help you, some members have Factory Service Manuals where they can look at schematics & so forth.

I am almost positive this was not available in that year, are you sure you have them to begin with, I could be wrong here.

93 Bonnevilles do not have DRL's unless it is a Candian made vehicle, are you referring to Twilight Sentenial? That will automaticly turn on/off the headlights depending on the light outside.

You know, come to think of it, I don't think American spec Bonnevilles didn't get DRL's until 96. hambone, if this is true forget everything in my previous post, sorry.

I think that you are all right. On the dash the name twilight sentinel is imprinted. Can you tell me any information in reference to the twilight sentinel? I am going to try to find the Bonneville Club. Anything will be appreciated.

Twi lite sent. turns the lites on when it gets dark, then off as day breaks, also can be adjusted to keep the lites on after leaving the car for up to 2 minutes, got an owner's manual, all in there.

the Twilight Sentinel turns the lights on when it gets dark. there should be a sensor on your dash and a control for it by the headlight switch.

There are no daytime running lights on any 92-95 canada or US....

also you might want to check out http://www.bonnevilleclub.com as I have seen that issue come up on that forum.

It was the sensor in the dash. Thank you all.

Alright, so the Twilight Sentinel is back in order. There are no DRL's on your 93 SSE, right? Glad you got it resolved
