dual outlet muffler

started the car today and the muffler exploded. Really it did.I wish I knew why? Was it stopped up can that happen? It had been hard to start, now it fires right up. Will a duat outlet work where you had a single outlet before? Thanks for any input LaWayne

Sounds like an old trick we use to play on the local cops , "stuffing bananas in the exhaust pipe", when they were in the donut shop! I guess you could run a duel outlet; however, the plumbing for the exhaust pipes would be the trick. It might take a few 90 deg elbows and some other trick fittings. It would be best to go to a muffler shop and ask if they do custom fabrication.

thanks for the reply.Noobstruction found.When it happened,it literally exploded. When I looked inside the muffler there wasent any rust or visible obstruction. I am really puzzled.The dual outlet muffler looks to be the same size as the factory it is part#17755 dynomax.
