perfect launch?eclipser2001 11-24-2005, 02:05 PM i was driving my friends gsr, trying to do some succesful launches, i stalled some, others i burned-out. which brings my to my question, how do you pull off the perfect launch? well it doesn't have to be perfect. Schister66 11-24-2005, 02:14 PM rev it as high as possible and feather the clutch out....but if you spin the tires, it was too high of a rev......only rev high enough to get power, but don't lose traction. In my GSR i can launch at about 3500 consistantly w/o breaking the tires loose....when feathering the clutch out, don't burn it up..... eclipser2001 11-24-2005, 02:16 PM yeah, whats feathering Schister66 11-24-2005, 03:03 PM ease it out...don't just drop the clutch you have to figure out when the clutch catches and how it engages....i let my clutch out until it hits and right before the tires spin, push it back in a little while still gaining speed, then i let it out entirely....that usually works, but is a little hard on the clutch..... eclipser2001 11-24-2005, 03:10 PM cool i'll go try it out thanks Schister66 11-24-2005, 04:18 PM hope it works for ya! eclipser2001 11-24-2005, 08:31 PM iv never feathered before so it didn't go as smoothly as i hoped, but i got used to it after a few attempts Schister66 11-24-2005, 09:52 PM so was it faster or couldn't you tell? The only real way to figure out if you're making progress is tracking the car.....the seat of your pants isn't a real accurate way to tell, but it works.... eclipser2001 11-26-2005, 04:48 PM i ordered a g-tech pro for my car i might use it for the gsr to see a real difference in the launches V T E C H 11-28-2005, 08:54 PM i ordered a g-tech pro for my car i might use it for the gsr to see a real difference in the launches is that one of those things that you see in all the magazines that measures like the g-force and 0-60 and such? eclipser2001 11-29-2005, 11:03 PM correctimundo eclipser2001 11-29-2005, 11:05 PM 0-60, 60-0, g-forces, hp, tq there might be more but thats all i can name right now V T E C H 11-29-2005, 11:20 PM does it actually work?? kingpinn 11-30-2005, 12:32 AM there not right on the 0-60 or 1/4 but there do ok. and on there hp and tq rating it they were good. there would be no such thing as a dyno .. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
