So im off for Thanksgiving break, and me and some of my friends are just hanging around kinda bored, looking for something to do. I ask my one friend who has a mid 90s 3.8L Thunderbird if he wants to race my SL2, since i thought it would be a pretty even match. He agrees and we head out to a pretty secluded spot with a good straight road.

1st Race- From a dig, we use the 1,2,3 GO! method and I find out i launched at too high a rpm. Traction problems aside, I pull ahead, and get 2 car lengths ahead to about 85.

2nd Race- 30mph roll, I keep it in 2nd and he holds up a little better, but its still a clear victory for me

3rd- This time my launch is much better, and the T Bird never is near me. I get 3ish car lengths to 90

4th- repeat results of 2nd. Shake well.

So I was pretty pleased with my car, didnt think I would win, and then to top it off I run into a SVT Lightning. We pace each other on the highway for a few miles, and we take the same exit to head back to my house. The first stoplight we run into turns red and i look over and give him a smile. In comes Green and we both go, where the obvious result happens. He beats me. 2 car lengths to 60, which makes me think he didnt have it floored, but its ok, still was mighty quick.

nah, no more saturns for me, i've had my fill haha. I do think the sky looks pretty cool, and i bet the redline version will be sweet.

^ those are both SL2's, the top one is the newer style, while i have the bottom one. Mine is silverish with the factory spoiler tho

Good win and loss. My brother modified his Saturn quite a bit. I guess it has a sound engine, cause he's got close to 200K miles on it.
