My 96 GMC 2wd 5.7 Suburban has been the best used truck I ever bought until about 2 weeks ago. Every morning I remote start it and after it runs about 15 min. I go out to leave for work. I put the key in and pull out of my driveway, about 20ft later the engine dies as if I pulled the cable off of the battery for about 3 seconds. I start it again and it runs great. It only did this in the morning. I even tried revving the engine before actually pulling out and it revs fine, it only happens when I actually pull out. As time has gone on it started happening 2 or 3 times before I get out of my alley and then fine. Now it started happening during the day like when I would go to Home Depot and be in the store for about an hour I came out and it died while in the parking lot as I was leaving. Today it finally did it while on my way home from work, I was just driving along and suddenly the dash lights came on like they do when you turn on the ignition but don't actually start the car and I culd feel the engine dieing and running several times as the dash lights came on and went off about 3 or 4 times and then it ran fine for the rest of the ride home. When I got home I let the engine run and opened the hood. I jiggled the battery cables and just about any other wire I could get my hands on and nothing seemed to affect it. I even jiggled the wires under the dash at the column and still nothing affected it.The truck has dual batteries and the primary battery is only about 5 months old, the alternator is about 5 months old and the second battery is about 2 years old, both batteries are delco 84 month. This is also the same truck I posted a few days ago about the headlights not working.

Thanks Very Much In Advance

Does this only happen when you use the auto-starter? If so, your ignition bypass module added with your auto-start may be going bad intermittenly. This module makes your truck think the key is in the ignition.

Or your Alternator is just going out again. Have it checked for free just to make sure that is not the issue.
good luck
