for you owners of OTF'slsned 11-20-2005, 11:31 AM I know this is a ford site. I am a faithful owner of them. However, My wife drives a 2000 Suburban, which is why I am writing this. I recently discovered a problem with wet carpet in the middle seating area on the passenger side of the truck. After several trips through the web trying to discover the cause, I decided to remove the interior from the middle section to the rear out. This included the seats, carpet and padding. Know what I found? when I started the truck and inspected the rear a/c, I noticed bubbling around the bottom rear portion of the unit. I figured there was water in the system and commenced looking for the condensate drain, which I found under the vehicle above the exhaust outlet. It was clogged with dirt. After cleaning it off and pinching it open, I was promply drenched with what was probably about 2 cups of water. The web sites I visited all seemed to point to the front of the truck and removing the dash and the grill below the windshield. I would hope this will help any of you out there who owns this model truck. You have to keep this drain clean. I wish I had found this sooner. It is a pain to remove all the interference to dry all that carpeting and padding. The smell isn't nice either as the water apparently had been there awhile. Hope this helps. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
