I am trying to find the ignition control module on my mothers '96 thunderbird 4.6L V8. The repair manual says that it should be on the right front fender apron and I looked there. The holes are there to mount it but it isn't there. If someone knows where to find it, please let me know. Thanks.

Do you mean the Powertrain Control Module?

I thought that I might have found the ignition control module next to the radiator but no luck. I'm not even sure what the part was that I took off. It may have been the powertrain control module. The ignition module is about a 1/2 inch wide and about 4" by 3". I'm not sure. It would be such a simple part to fix (have diagnosed) if I could find it.

I have both the Chilton's and Haynes manuals and both of them make no mention of the location of the 96-97 t-bird's ignition control module location. My suggestion try either a search of the internet or www.TCCOA.com
