Need to have a good idea how to disassemble oil pressure sensor harness. Any good pictures? Also light and chime comes on a low idling speed, any ideas why?
Sincerely.

The most common reason for the oil pressure light to come on when your car is idling (especially hot) is low oil pressure. First, check your oil level and add as needed. How long since the last oil change? Contaminated oil, especially if contaminated with gasoline, is thin and will reduce oil pressure at temperature.

If your oil is full and freshly changed, and you still have this problem, remove the oil pressure switch from the engine and hook up a mechanical gauge to verify pressure. At least 40 psi at idle, when fully warmed up is normal and you should replace the oil pressure switch. Anything lower than that on the gauge will indicate worn out components, such as crank and rod bearings. By the way, how many mile on your van?

Find your oil pressure gauge and replace it, plus all the above. They are quite cheap and breakdoen is not unusual of these little pests. Wayne
