for true dual exhuast do you need another convertor or can it be just custom made second pipe from the orginal converter......or am i just totally missing the point of true duals and.........will i get the same increase in hp if i just add the second pipe behind the convertor without the second convertor?

True duals in my book never combine.

A true dual uses two cats - one for each manifold. As far as "never touching" is concerned, a true dual system can have both sides connected through a "balance pipe" that connects both sides behind the cats. This helps to smooth pulses through the exhaust system, decreasing back pressure and helping the engine to breathe.

do you get inspected for cats and such where you are ?

if not then i would get long tube hedman hedders form summit for these car for 140 and the Hedman X-tensions 2.5": HED-18806 : $21.95
they are S shaped and bolt to the collectors and will get it to where you can connect straight pipes

pipe and mufflers are cheap at local store

good luck
