Hey i found a 1996 gsx for a lil over 3grand by my house, the only serious problem with the car is this, about 2 years ago the guy said he had his gauge cluster replaced with a used on because his stoped working, when the gauge cluster was replaced they never adjusted the mileage, so the car says it has 31,650 miles on it, but in reality the car has 70,160 miles on it. he showed me papers and stuff to verfy this, what i was wondering is it possible to adjust the mileage on the gauge cluster now to the correct amount of mileage?

I think hes pulling your leg. A 71k mile GSX for $3000? Sounds to me like hes trying to fuck someone over. I just think it has more than 71k miles.

But if thats the true mileage you better buy the car cause thats one hell of a deal.

I'd bet there is something wrong with the car. Unless the person doesn't know what they have, just be careful and don't get ripped off. If it is ok though you should definetly buy it.

That would be pretty hard considering this would alow people to adjust mileage. You might be able to find a gauge cluster with similar mileage, other than that you might be out of luck. Post pics when you get it.

Possibly, but there are probably too many liability/legality issues. At least it says less miles rather than more.

ya that is true, the front bumper is cracked too, but that is easily taken care of cause i got stock bumpers in my garage from my old eclipse
