Whats the largest engine (or best I can get) I can drop into a 1960 Thunderbird?
Also, any suggestions for some nice sounding pipes?

A 352 or a 430 ci will fit and keep it authentic-meaning worth the most money when you sell it.

Nothing beats the 460, IMO. I have one in my 72 T-Bird and it is a screamer.
You can do a lot with it. Bore it out and put large pistons on it, update the intake and carb, beef up the crank and cam and get a but-load of horses out of it.
Don't neglect the exhaust. Get a good set of duel cross-over pipes and high flow mufflers and she will purr like a kitten.
If you go with the 351, go with the Windsor or Cleveland. The babies are almost bullet proof and can crank out a ton of horse power.
