im getting a 1998 eagle talon Tsi,2.0 turbo AWD. the engine is blown and was wondering how hard the rebuild would be or if the cheaper easier option is to buy new one and pull one and just drop the other. any help is appreciated

I would buy a running or non running 6 bolt (from 90-91 DSM's) and build it or get it running and drop it in.

I'll second that idea. lol 6 bolts are definetly the way to go.

7bolts are less expensive to turn into a 2.3l stroker.

mod cheap, mod twice.

if you get lucky, find a 6 bolt stroker crank and make that bitch a 6-bolt 2.3l stroker. that'd be one hell of a car.

There's a shop that sells a stroker kit for the 6-bolt it's like $1400 (comes with crank, rods, pistons, and rings)

if i didn't have a fully built motor already i'd be on that setup like a fat kid on cake.....or me on a can of beer.
