bypass the o2 sensorUncaringMrBC 11-15-2005, 03:54 PM does anyone know how i can bypass my o2 sensor?...i just bought a new filter that doesnt have the canister and i dont know how to put it on my 92 tsi? drdisque 11-15-2005, 05:54 PM that sensor isn't your O2 sensor, you're either referring to your MAF (which you can't bypass) or your Intake Air Temperture sensor, which you can just leave dangling there. UncaringMrBC 11-16-2005, 12:12 AM yeah i guess it is my MAF but can i just cut a hole in the rim of my new filter and put the MAF in it or can i leave it hanging or what should i do? corning_d3 11-16-2005, 12:58 AM I'd get a filter that fits.. The MAF must be installed properly in order for the engine to work right. If you leave it hanging, the PCM won't know how much air is entering the engine, so it won't know how much fuel to deliver. You can lose all kinds of horsepower trying to get 5-10 more out of an air filter. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
