hi all, I've recently been thinking about purhcasing a V6 SUV...been looking at a few choices and I've seen a few 90-95 Pathys going for well around $1500-2000, so i was looking into one of them, I have wrench time with the VG30 so repairs would be familiar plus I drove a VG30 3rd gen maxima for 3 years, so I know there are pretty much next to no serious issues with the VG30s mechanical operation.

my only concern is the transmission...I'm open to either 5spd or auto(will add a ext. cooler), but I plan to pull my Integra using a tow bar(no trailer) with it every once and a while and am wondering if it will be able to stand up to the task(5spd or auto). the Integra is stripped down and weighs ~2600-2700lbs maybe less after this winter. other than that are there any major issues with these trucks? thanks for any suggestions!

Pathfinders are good cars, towing shouldnt be a problem. I have a 93 path myself. I've pulled/towed many things with it, no problems what so ever. But make sure you know the condition of the path you plan to get is good. Good luck

I was going to post a picture of my 91 Pathfinder 5speed pulling a loaded rail car of grain but I don't have permission I guess. Anyway, 215,000 miles later it still tows a load(original clutch too)!
