I'm having a intermittent starting problem. The fuel pump is not working. I changed the oil press. switch and the oil level switch because I know when they go bad the cut power to the fuel pump, but I'm still having a intermittent prob. Do you think with about 140k its the fuel pump or am I still missing something? Thankyou

Ah Ha, answered my own question. This time when the car didnt start, I went to the gas tank and gave it a rap with a rubber mallet and the pump went on and the car started. This has happened twice and I got it started the same way. Now to drop the plastic fuel tank and replace the fuel pump.

That should be a nice fun job! My husband has a 92 RM sedan, and if I recall correctly we replaced the fuel pump around 140-160K miles.

Here's a pic of it :)
