Over the summer, i replaced my cpi unit, the nut kit, and cleaned the egr valve. About a week ago my 93 jimmy started to have a rough idle and i knew it was the egr valve so i cleaned that out. Then just today, it started to act up again.

I wanted to try the egr screen to see if that would work. Can i get this at a parts store, or do i have to order it online?

If i'm correct, it gets stuck open right? What would happen if somehow i "glued" it shut. No more rough idle right, but i know i need this for emmisions.

On that site, there is no where to order it online. I emailed tomoco and they said that autozone would have it as part #523079. I called autozone and they said they don't carry it.

So where to you guys get this screen at?

I made mine. I took to gaskets and put a stainless steel screen inbetween them and put it back on. There is a thread in here somewhere on this. May want to search for it. I would tell ya but me and the search engine here dont get along to well.

I bought one today at autozone and it is part# 2-1357 and called a Klean Screen Gasket.
