I have a 2002 Avalanche. The factory running boards were starting to rattle when I was going down the hihgway over 60 mph so I decided to investigate. I found that the plastic part of the running boards was just an overlay on aluminum. They are held on with 7-8 metal clips. The clips on mine were loose and needed to be replaced. I went to the dealer this morning and they want $3 ea :banghead: for those little metal clips. I know they must be used elswhere in automotive or hardware. Does anyone know what I am talking about and know where I can get them for far less than $3 ea? I would think $3 for a bag of 7-8 would be plenty.

Any assistance is appreciated.
Stan

Hey stan. I don't know where to get the clips, but if you post a pic I might be able to help. The dealer price doesn't suprise me. I work at one and you don't get 7-8 of anything for $3. I would maybe try a junkyard, but then it seems that your killing yourself for a handfull of hardware. Post a pic of them and I'll see what I can do. Matt
