I found this shift knob for the auto w/ O/D at my local race shop, I was just wondering if anyone has any knowledge of it being ok for the G?http://secure15.dellhost.com/~d30022975/images/shift_knobs/ra-87.jpg Anyways I hope it is....I think the install requires splicing of the O/D wires but anyways they said theyd hook it up 80 bucks for everything....

have you guys checked out the Levoc knobs with OD? I think those look sleeker than the razo ones. checkout http://www.napolex.com/

those Levoc ones are about $115-120. I'd probably get me the chome with black or the chrome with wood. they fit both nissan and toyota.

oh btw, how do you take off the factory AT shift knob? also, is there a metal round shaft inside the square-black factory shaft? the aftermarket knobs probably won't fit those square shafts.... anyone know?

yah, I haven't looked closely at how the factory knob is mounted on the shaft..but probably one or two screws at most. might even give it a little twist. I've seen the levoc's upclose, they're really nice and high quality. I'm not sure if that chrome portion is metal or plastic. might be just plastic... with they had a aluminum one with wood trimming.

the chrome part is metal. my friend has a manual shifter on his mr2, and you know how they have those two glass windows for the roof? it always heats up like a mother fucker so watch it if you park your car in the sun. :frog:
