looking into a 7spaminator 11-08-2005, 12:34 AM I was looking for a new car to trade in my teg for and I found a 1988 10th anniversary TII for $5k. Are there any problems with this year or with the 10th anniversary edition? I don't know the condition on the car yet so don't ask but is this a decent price on this car(if it was maintained like they say it was)? I really love the FC's but I need more info before I spend the money badassfocus1101 11-08-2005, 12:41 AM well my aunt had the same car it was pearl white...very fuc*in pretty car, she had alot of problems tho, dont know if it was the CAR, or just bad luck..but she sold it for 9,000 to a guy in michigan 60,000 miles on it FDTT 11-08-2005, 01:49 PM You will spend alot more money on the FC than the teg. ESPECIALY a turbo model. You will need to invest alot of money right off the bat preparing the car. Aftermarket water temp, boost guage, turbo timer, all new plugs, wires, rad caps, ect ect. After that then you can assess the car. Tell weather or not it is running properly and such. So unless you want to be quite involved with your cars i dont suggest an RX7 is a good step from the teg. spaminator 11-10-2005, 01:27 AM I love working on my car. I'm in training to be a mechanic. But I also need a car to take me to work everyday. The FD's are just too expensive and I've heard some problems with over heating, especially here in Phoenix mazdatekchubyninja 11-11-2005, 12:54 PM Same Here, If You Are Use To An Acura Or A Honda Then You Will Be Dissappointed. Hey What Year Is Your Teg. You Will Spend More Money Then You Will Pay For The Car.. spaminator 11-11-2005, 06:01 PM my teg is a 91. I kinda figured i would have to spill some green on the car. What about the NA FC's are they any better in reliability spaminator 12-19-2005, 05:42 PM I just found a new RX. It's a '90 convertable 150k miles, 5sp, HKS exhaust, evreything works, engine was checked out by a rotary specialist, they're asking 4995 but I think I can get them down to 3500. Is this a good deal? Capt.Moe 12-20-2005, 01:17 AM if everything checked out and you know the guy to be a rotary specialist, then Yes that is one hell of a deal. drftk1d 12-20-2005, 04:01 PM that sounds like alot. for those prices i would expect lower mileage 3500 sounds kinda okay though spaminator 12-20-2005, 05:26 PM I don't know if it's original engine or not. would that be too many miles on a rotary Soyo 12-21-2005, 02:01 PM you should just buy my car for $5500. 6k on rebuilt/street ported engine from rotary ressurection, new clutch, only 88k on the body, and all the other goodies in my signature... yea you should do that :) spaminator 12-21-2005, 02:22 PM what condition is it in? color? and whatnot tubjub 12-22-2005, 02:57 PM Same Here, If You Are Use To An Acura Or A Honda Then You Will Be Dissappointed.
