2000 dodge grand caravan stalls..3.8 ltr enginet_pizzo 11-06-2005, 07:24 AM my minivan stalls during the first few minutes of driving after it has sat idle for approx 6-8 hours. if feels like there is no fuel going thru, i have replaced fuel filter in the last week, air filter in the last couple of weeks. once the van warms up i do not have this problem. the rpm just drops to zero and the vehicle stalls, like i just indicated once the van warms up the problem goes away. Yes when I take my foot off the pedal, the rpm's drop quickly and the call stalls. I start up the car again it may stall again or let me drive away. I noticed that once the car warms up the rpm's do not go up and down. harryliuusa 11-08-2005, 01:02 PM have you checked O2 sensor? B33p3r 11-08-2005, 06:03 PM It's possible your IAC (Idle Air Control) valve is sticking and the heat finally loosens the plunger up. It's very easy to remove and clean the plunger area. If it doesn't fix it, it's one less thing to worry about. Basically, the IAC is responsible for supplying the air when your at idle. If you need more help with it give a yell. Bel-air 454 01-02-2006, 06:51 PM hi i had the same problem. i found it to be the vacuum switch for the egr. i don't know if it only does it when it is cold out. i found ice inside the vacuum switch. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
