1992 Bonneville stalling

We have a 92 bonneville with the exact same problem as the guy's quoted below. I replaced a corroded pigtail on the ignition module, replaced a faulty TPS, and checked all the grounds under the carpeting. The fuel pressure is over 40psi during KOEO, and 35 during KOER. The check engine light comes and goes, and usually when it comes on is when the car is about to cut off. I do not have an ozzie to check the square waves coming from the CPS either.

Hey I have a 94 Bonneville SE V6 and I experience the same problems you have listed:

I get a ding ding ding from the car and then this sequence starts.

1. Service Engine Lights comes and stays
2. Pick-up speed is very poor
3. Trans shifting is poor
4. Stalls while coasting or constant low speed
5. Starts right back up

Anybody have any new ideas?

thanks in advance

Well, no answers yet.

Drive the car for about 15 minutes and ding, ding, ding it dies. Now it's causing the transmission to act up. Anybody have ANY insight here?

I'd bet it's a bad crank sensor.

Ok it dies, got spark, fuel pressure, how long to restart? What codes can you retrieve, may be in history.

It restarts immediately. But the longer it runs, the more it stalls. While it's cold, it won't stall for at least 15 mins, but after that it will stall like crazy.

We took it to the dealer today, and he claims that the o2 sensor is bad, the fp reg. is bad, and the TPS might be bad.

I drove the car with a fuel pressure gauge and it holds 35psi with the vaccum line on at idle and about 45 at WOT. The fuel pressure does not dip down at all before it stalls, in fact it goes up to about 45psi when it dies and sits there until the fuel pump relay shuts off a second later.

The carpeting is also wet under the driver seat and on the back floor, but I checked the driver/passenger ground clusters in the kickpanel and they look perfect.

Any ideas?
