The other day my wife had the suburban in town and wouldn't you know it when she went to start it up it just made a zinging sound. I was finally able to get the starter out of it's snug home and took it to a parts store to be tested. The starter and solenoid tested fine. Reinstalled the starter and it started. The next day it the burbon started and we ran some errands, when we returned home I tried to start it again and it attempted to start and then started making the zinging sound and would not turn over any suggestions if its a starter or starter motor relay, and how is the easiest way to get the starter out.

Before you attack the starter, you have to check the basics first.
Is the battery good?
Are the cables clean and tight?

Take the cables off the battery and check for corrosion.

Battery is good, cables no corrosion found, switched relays and no change. Taked to NAPA they said that there is a plastic gear inside that breaks and when bench tested without a load it tests fine but when under a load it just spins freely and won't turn the engine. Off to try it.
