I have a 2001 cherokee sport with stock 15 inch wheels and was wondering if 16 ince wheels off of a liberty (year not specified) will fit?

I know the bolt pattern is the same, but not sure about the offset. I think the liberty wheels have a greater offset meaning that they might stick in too far on my cherokee....thanks for any help.
