This forum doesn't look to be that busy, and it seems most posts here are about the newer FWD Ninety-Eights. After scouring the Internet I found little to nothing (other than "For Sale" ads) dedicated to my favorite car, the 1980-1984 Ninety-Eight Regency. So I built one! You can check it out here:

Also has some info on 77-79 models. If you know of any other good sites or pages dedicated to this car, please let me know!

Nice site.
As a kid, I was driven around in a couple of then-new 1980 ninety-eights, one of them a diesel.
I recall the diesel owner tried to convince himself the extra cost of the diesel was worthwhile, even though the car was so slow it was IMO not particularly safe to drive.

But I was impressed with the comfort and silence of the cars.

Personally, I built an '81 Fleetwood with a warmed-over Olds 455.

You are right, this forum is pretty quiet.

I would count myself as a 81-84 RWD 98 fan, having owned a few over the years. Currently I don't own one, still looking for a nice example though. Mine were all diesels, and that is all that I would be interested in owning. Twice the fuel economy, close to the same power makes them in my ind a much better deal than the 307 gas engine. Of course the down side is the 75k head gasket change ~

I have gotten more into the 92-93 Touring Sedans of late, but only those with the supercharged engines. Guess I want to see how much I can play with the power output ~ and still get 30 miles to the gallon on the hiway.

Two cars I would like to have ~ 1984 Olds 98 diesel and a FWD 1986 Olds 98 diesel. The search goes on!

I inherited my grandparents 1982 98 5.7L dx Regency Diesel a couple of years ago when grandpa passed. He had it since 84 or 86???
It was a great car then and still is just has more repairs now.
I currently have an electrical problem, or should I say No electrical problem.
No power at the fuse block or lights, wipers, signals etc.

Anyways I have 1 suggestion for you site would be viewable or downloadable repair manuals. Either way it's a great site, I learned a few things.
Thanks!
