New Problem to me that I can't answers to.kingjuicy 11-04-2005, 05:51 PM I tried and tried to find a forum to read that has my same problem, but I can't. Here goes. 1997 Blazer 4DR 4WD All of a sudden my truck won't start. Gas pressure is ok, it's not catching. Now here's the crazy part. My lights, Wiper, Radio, all work fine, but when I try to turn it over, my dash lights don't light up and I can't even get the truck in gear to get it towed. I'm at my wits in. I think the truck knows it's about to be traded in, in a few days. It's not the fuses, Oil Presure is fine, hell it happened after I got an oil change. It would not start while at Rapid Oil. We looked at it and were all baffled. All of a sudden I got power and I sped home. I have mot been able to start it since. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Juice 97's are notorious for bad ignition switches. Sounds like it might be the problem. Gabe25 11-04-2005, 07:13 PM 97's are notorious for bad ignition switches. Sounds like it might be the problem. I agree 100%. Its the ignition switch......... DINO55 11-05-2005, 07:56 AM Sorry guys, I have to throw this in. When was the last time you cleaned your battery connections? Is your Battery putting out 12 volts? rlith 11-05-2005, 09:53 AM I would tend to agree with the ignition switch, but the no light situation also leads me to believe it could be a loose connection at the battery or the ground at the block... mike2004tct 11-05-2005, 10:51 AM I would tend to agree with the ignition switch, but the no light situation also leads me to believe it could be a loose connection at the battery or the ground at the block... The go/no go situation definately points to the Ignition switch. Check to see if you have voltage at the top of fuse #24 (tranny fuse). If you do, it's a bad EEM. If you don't, it's a bad switch. I recently had the same problem, and replaced the switch for a second time. But the no start/no spark/engine cranks/gauges pegged 1/4 beyond max persisted. It ended up being a bad EEM ($600.00 charge). kingjuicy 11-07-2005, 10:41 AM The go/no go situation definately points to the Ignition switch. Is this an easy task? Now I hope it's not the EEM, but I checked all the fuses and they all were ok. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
