Is your blazer a 2 or 4 wheel and what year is it. I did my "94", & "96" blazer upper, lower, and control arm bushings. They’re really not that hard to do. I spent around $100. for each car in parts and about 4 hours on the "94" and about 5.5 hours on the "96" to do the job. My "96" is a 4x4 so the lower ball joint toke a little more time. I had to remove the axles to remove the ball joint. Nothing major, just time consuming. While you r at it. Now would be a good time to check your control arm bushing to see if they need replacement as well. Make sure that you grease all your fittings when your done.

$700 is way to much for me. I had both of the lower balljoints replaced on my 95 by a mechanic. (they can be a pain to replace the factory set) The upper ball joints are much, much easier than the lower. I found that a floor jack helps a great deal. But its not impossable and it will save you alot of money doing it yourself.

i did both upper and lower on my 98 blazer. the biggest problem was having to drill out the rivits from the original ball joints. But i thought i read some where the 4x2 doesnt have ball joints that are rivited, not sure about that. Make sure you have a good pickle fork to help break way from the control arm.

If you have a air chisel. The rivets are no problem. No drilling is required.

yeah thats what i used, but the chisel was pretty much useless after cutting off the rivits... was a weak metal i guess...

That $700 price tag is a freaking rip off...
