hi, my ABS is acting up on my 2000 blazer lt 4x4. pretty much anytime i stop whether slow or fast my abs activates and there is no reason for it. the roads have been dry, and ive just been doing normal driving. the ABS light is NOT on either, so I don't know what is going on. I am thinking its an ABS sensor but I want to exhaust all other possibilities before spending the $140 on a new hub. if anyone knows how to diagnose this please let me know, and on my 2000 can i buy the sensor separarely or do i really have to buy the new hub? thanks!

I would first check to see if one of the pads got contaminated with oil..could just be grabbing if so...good luck

A bad speed sensor will do things like that. Get it on a abs capable scanner and wath the speed sensors for reading the same or a dropout or glitz.
Not sure if they are seperate. You will have to check parts book. Also it could be a wiring problem.
You need to check it out first.

theres a thread about this.. you can use a voltmeter to see if your speed sensor is damaged or if the is dirt blocking it. I had to change out my whole hub, which includes a new abs sensor on it. Like your problem my abs light wasnt on either but that was the problem. And i know how annoying it is trying to stop and your car just keeps going.
