What transmission do I have? What fluid do I use?

OK, I am getting some conflicting info on what transmission is in my 2000 GV SE 3.3l 4-speed. I bought the car this summer used and it came with no manual.

I am assuming a 4-speed b/c there is a "3" instead of "2" between "D" and "L"

It has begun to whine and now seem sluggish and hard shifting when cold. I would probably try and change out the fluid first. It even seems as though it is slightly over filled at this point. Perhaps the used car dealer used the wrong fluid? I just want to know that I have the proper stuff in it.

I have seen recommendations on allpar.com for using atf+4, and "ALWAYS" use atf+3, regardless of what the dipstick says. My dipstick says mopar (7176) fluid only. Is this atf+3 or 4?

For my specific transmission what should I really use?
Any other simple suggestions for my whiny, hard shifting when cold, van before taking it to a dealer for service?

Thanks again
-Tim

Your 2000 says use ATF+4 mopar 9602 trans fluid 3 or 4 speed. If you trans upshift 3 times you have a od trans 41TE/AE.
Also on a lot of older cry trans they say go to ATF+4 trans fluid to.
Cry/dodge has a tsb out on it.
Be sure to change the filter and do not use any additives . Just clean fluid.
A good trans flush may be in order to.
If it went threw a used car dealer hard to tell what it has had put in it. Flush it all out and get the good stuf in there.
