Hi, 96 Blazer, 4.3 will not start. Will start with fuel added to the venturi body, runs till that fuel is burnt, then again, no start. The fuel pump is pumping fuel at the line. I don't have a gauge to get an exact fuel pressure reading{sorry}. Is there anything else that could be checked before taking the plunge and replacing the fuel pump? Thanks...KemH

You need a fuel pressure gauge to test it.
put a gauge on it and check the direct fuel pump pressure at fuel filter. A good pump will have about 75-85 lbs of direct fuel pressure so it can mantain a running pressure of 60-66 lbs of pressure on the fuel rail.
With gauge on the fuel rail pinch off rubber return line and see what the pressure goes to.
Also check for fast leak down.
If it does not have 63-65 lbs of pressure at fuel rail on a cold start it will nor squirt injectors.
Post back fuel pressure readings.
Also make sure you are getting good voltate and connection and ground at the fule pump wiring plug.
