I want to get a little boost in power and gas mileage, and i hear a simple cold air intake is a good idea. Im absolutely going with a K&N filter, but there are a ton of different kits off ebay for like $50. Ive heard people like them but does anyone have any specific feedback? Any brands i should steer clear? Thanks

The AEM Brute Force is a great kit. Look for kits the have a heat shield with the kit. Almost all of the kits will come with a K&N air filter.

anybody try a cheap kit off ebay? As long as I'm putting in a decent filter (K&N) does it matter what kit i get seeing as its just a tube extension with a mounting bracket.

Just buy any of them, but remember that a true cold air intake will gain you horse power. If the intake is just bringing in hot air from under your hood, you might lose power. Spend the money on a quality kit, it will make a big difference
