Hi there,
I have found a few comments from people who may have experienced or are experiencing this same problem.
I am currently experiencing some rough idling and lack of power upon accelerating from a stop. The engine has stalled on me twice but there is no problem restarting. It maiunly happens when I put it into first gear and start to let off the clutch and go. I can usually overcome it by reving the engine a liitle more.
There are times occasionally when I am driving at the speed limit when it feels like I am loosing power on my throttle.
I have been told that it could be either the oxygen sensor or the throttle position sensor (TPS). I bought the Haynes manual and it could possibly be this.
Does anyone have any input or experience with this. I would like to try and diagnos and fix myself if possible before taking it in for service.
Btw - 1996 Z24
- 225000 km (great shape I must add!!)
- 2.4L 5 spd
Thanks
Dave

Could be either of those. It could also be a clogged cat, leaky/broken vacuum line, or just needs a tune up.
