I have a '95 S-10 Blazer and a few weeks ago it melted the battery..while i was driving it died and when i pulled over and lifted the hood my battery was pretty much melted. Well i replaced that and now it is not getting spark. I have changed the powertrain control module, the coil, and i dont know what else it could be besides the computer maybe. Any help would be greatly appreciated

If you're not getting spark, it's not the ECM...(ecm would just not allow it to continue running) (How have you tested for spark?) I would trace all your wires from the battery back and look for other melting....Is it even turning over with the new battery?

it will turn over just not start, and I have checked it for spark every way i know how, I have checked all wires and found no other melted parts, or wires. I dont know if maybe it a wire is shorted out or what.

Was the battery meltdown like leaking the acid all over the engine compartment or just distorted from heat ? If it was from overcharging you may have a voltage regulator problem , which could damage other electrical components . Have you checked the fuses ? Rob

Rmbodie is right. Check your fuses. Couple of questions.
1) Do you have any ideas as to why your batterry got cooked?
2) Does everything else work OK. Lights, Radio, & dashlights on your instrument panel?

no there isnt any other problems.
Everything else works. No idea why it happened. We have found a short in a wire between the two battery posts. Unsure if that would have cause all these problems or not.
