Have a short that will kill battery in my 1998 S-10 Blazer. Pulled all fuses one at a time and still have short. Unplugged all wires from rear hatch and traced wires in engine compartment. Also checked abs wires since I just replaced drivers side lower ball joint and front brakes. The reason I unplugged wires in rear hatch was due to leaving the hatch up and backing into my garage and crunching hatch. I'm not having any luck finding the problem so any information will be greatly appriciated. Never had this problem till now. Have had wiper problems and turn signal relay noise when signals are not in use I am assuming that the switch is to blame for these problems, but don't know if the switch is to blame for my short.

To find a short or something pulling amps, hook a amp/volt meter to the battery that will read amps.
Start unhooking/unpluging untill you find it.
Cigarette lighters, horn relay, alternators, power seats are good things to check first.
Let us know how it goes.

So far pulled starter, every conection in dash, computer, horn, transfer case, abs, wipers, rear hatch, every fuse under hood, every fuse inside, and every other connection that makes any sense to pull and still no luck. If any body has had similar short problems with thier Blazer or S-10 please let me know. Thank You

Parasitic drains,
The Best way is to use a Digital meter set it on amps disconnect the negative battery cable put on lead on the battery terminal and the other on the negative lead (be sure to move the positive lead to read amperage) and amperage can only be read in series. Acceptable key off drain is 50 ma for a regular car and 70ma for a loaded car. Also it can take some time for the PCM to go to sleep, so you may get a faulty reading for the first few minutes. After you have established that you have a key off drain and not a bad battery or something. Then remember the reading and pull fuses one at a time till you find the problem be sure to chaek all acc. Follow these instructions and you should find it. You should do it this way to find it the fastest.
Chris

PS. if you get 0 amps the fuse inside your meter is blown and you either blew it eleswhere or the drain is over the fuse rating.

make sure you try the wipers they can be trying to park when they are already parked front and rear.

Are you sure it is a short/amp draw?
Are you using a amp meter to check draw like 2KJimmy says?
Is the draw key on or key off?
How many amps is it pulling?
Keep pulling/unhooking and you will find it sooner or later.
