Can't remove Plug Coil!!

I have a 2001 2.7L 4dr sebring, with 155k kms.
Changed five of six spark plugs today. The rear ones were a hassle!! I had to use a strong magnet on a string to get the plugs out after they were loosened on the back side of the engine.
On the front side of the engine I could not get one of the coil bolts to come out, it just spun as if the anchor nut was turning.
Tried getting pliers, screwdriver, and a knife in between the coin and the valve cover, to try and stop the lower washer from spinning to no avail. Even put a few squirts of release-all.
Am I looking at removing the valve cover or is there a trick here.
Thanks
