Carbon Fiber Targa TopSaabaru 10-27-2005, 02:11 PM Hey every one, this is my first post so be kind. Im looking to buy a JZA80 targa and wanted to know if any one makes a carbon fiber targa top. I know supra owners are loyal die hard people and I understand that such a thing may be sacrilegious, but im interested in a black car and think it would look quite good. I know that the stock top is only about 12 lbs and weight is not the issue. I honestly think it would look quite good. I have seen carbon t-tops for the 300z and with the right paint it looks nice and clean. The targa with the trd hood would make a sick combo. If anyone has seen such a thing, please let me know, or if i make other supra owners sick, please also feel free to beat me down!!! flyinMKIV 10-27-2005, 06:02 PM a couple of companies are testing the idea and are soon to release it so I hear. Haven't heard any rock solid things out there yet though. Inygknok 01-25-2006, 11:57 AM havent heard about that one yet. there are many companies that take these ideas into consideration and try them out. try CFX. GadflyII 02-23-2006, 04:55 PM I have seen one before, but the product was scraped. The CF kept cracking due to flexing in corners. . If you must have an ugly CF targe, wrap a stock targa in CF to keep the rigidity. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
