Anyone have bad seals on ...

Chevy inspected my '99 today and said I have a leak where the drive shaft enters the rear end. Also the bearings were bad. Then they said the bearings and seals whee the transfer case and drive shaft meet were shot.
There was a little oil on both but I have never seen anything in the driveway. Additionally there were no problems (grinding noises etc) coming from that area. Has this happened to anybody? All my friends who have Chevys with over 150K on their trucks have never had do deal with these seals or bearings. They think it sounds odd and maybe the dealer is trying to pull a fast one.

What do you think?

I would take it to get a second opinion... While the seal may be bad (20 minute fix with 3 bux worth of parts) I doubt that bearings are bad... Sounds like they're just padding their books to me..
