Tried doing a search, but could not find what I was looking for. :confused:
I have a 95 S-10 with a 4 cylinder/manual transmission, and wanted to swap in a 4 cylinder/manual transmission from a 98+ S-10.
Will it drop right in? Transmission? Switch engine harness? Wiring (OBD I ---> OBD II)?
How much of a pain will it be? :banghead:

I;m gussing on this but I would think so if its the same size engine. I would hit an auto parts store and have them pull up the electrical parts for both years and see if they are the same. Im sure they didn't change the block castings or tranny mounts.

You will need the following from the donor

Engine harness
Ecm
Body harness
BCM
All needed sensors
gauges et-al

This is provided you are going to use the newer fuel delivery system

If you want to retain your old FDS, then you simply need to swap over your old head and intake to the new block...(provided they are the same size block)
