Hello all,
I am working with a 1994 Park Avenue. Earlier this year, in the summer, my blower motor for the A/C would continue running after the car was turned off. I coulsd temporaril fix the problem by removing the giant green fuse under the hood. Then when I wanted a/c, I wiould just reinstall the fuse. Unfortunately, I never got this fixed and now the blower motor will not come on at all. Its getting pretty cold here in NC and I could sure use some heat. I have replaced the climate control unit in the dash, but that caused no change. There appaers to be a resistor of some sort under the fuse panel on the firewall. Is this the blower motor resistor? It looks like thishttp://www.smpcorp.com/web_app/catalog/images/RU304.jpg

Should I replace this or what? I need some help please. Its too cold!

Thank you and have a great day!
Adam

That is it, it looks just like the last 100 I have replaced! You can now buy a new one at Advanced Auto Parts for $100.00. Part # RU304 Standard Products. Now if your blower motor don't run at all, run a wire from the battery to the blower and see if it runs, if not you need a blower motor also available at Advanced. Usually, the blower motor wears out and starts pulling high amps and overloads the resistor module causing it to fail. You may have both problems. A new motor should pull 14 to 17 amps on high speed. (Stay warm)
