I am looking for opinions on what a 94 S10 4x4 4Dr. Blazer might be worth.

The color is a bright blue metallic upper with a silver lower, has the stripe package that fade from the blue to the silver just above the side moldings. It is not an LT model. The blue has been repainted and looks pretty descent except for a pitiful tape job around the window moldings (being in the business I notice these things). It has painted silver bumper, exterior spare tire carrier and tire, luggage rack, and a chrome aftermarket grille (tale-tale being the Chevy emblem is not recessed in the grille, also figuring the left front fender was replaced at the same time as the grille), it still however looks good. There is NO body rust (hard to believe, I even looked at the bottom inside edge of the front doors, none. It has good tires, A/S radials, mounted on the typical GM aluminum rims with the small holes all the way around the middle of the rim. The body is actually pretty good and straight, looks excellent from a distance, good up close.

On to the interior. It has the light gray interior, cloth seats, carpeted floor. The drivers seat has the typical seat wear from sliding in and out (versus stepping in and out), would need reupholstered. The headliner has a bunch of slice marks in it, would need replaced. The carpet has one massive dingy spot right under the rear seat on the passenger side of the vehicle. Other than those things, the interior is otherwise in good shape. It also has PW, PL, Cruise, AM/FM Cassette, Floor shift 4WD, manual seats and mirrors.

The vehicle has 168K on it, with a known GM dealership replacement engine just prior to 100K and some time before that the rear axle was rebuilt by the local GM dealer as well. The vehicle was bought and kept in my home town, two owners. The engine runs, but I suspect it would need the Injector unit and/or the "Nut" kit to get it running right again. The 4WD indicator lights up on the floor and it will also go into 4 LO but the front axle is not engaging (seems like an actuator on the front axle, maybe it is bad?) Otherwise, it drives pretty solid with no worn out suspension parts.

What does it sound like it is worth? I'm contemplating buying it, just to tinker with.

That is where I would go and find out.

Yeah, but I think those are some inflated prices. The vehicle is at a dealer that does not wholesale to a used car lot, they wholesale to whom ever direct from there lot.

KBB says Dealer Retail is over 4600, does not take in to acount the condition of the vehicle. Private party lists it at 2460 in "Fair" condition. The dealer is listing it at 1650.00, but I feel I could get it form them for 1000.00 and they could keep their stated 10 day/100 mile warranty:)
