lug nut key

I saw some one asking about a lug nut key for their 2000 model car and he said something about the number to order another key where he had lost his. i dont know the number to my key either but nor do i know where to look for this number. there is a little card in my trunk that has like 40 numbers on it could it be there? please help me, lol

If it's for the factory wheel/hubcap locks, call a dealer with your Vin and they should be able to help you out. If it's for an aftermarket set of locking lugs, they come with a sticker with a code and a 1-800 number (that you should attach in the glove box or trunk) to call to order a replacement key. Without the code number, you're SOL, as there are many different keys, you'll have to chisel them off.
