Wind noiseMykmo 10-24-2005, 02:51 PM Got an 05 Durango SLT/Hemi. While on the highway it sounds like there is a hole in my wind shield. It sounds as if the wind is coming right through it or there is a break in the molding. Anyone hear this in theirs? I can't seem to see a problem. Ive looked around and seems alot of other forums and message boards say the same thing about D all over the year ranges. Ive learned that between that and the floor mode on the heater, its better if you have a great radio! davez57 01-07-2006, 12:06 PM I have an 04 Durango limited and it is very quite until you get up to freeway speed. It seems to have a lot of wind noise at higher speeds. I've been able to narrow it down to around the front doors. It seems the design where the front edge around the front door where it meets the body is where the noise is generated. I sometimes wonder if the rest of the car is so quite that what wind noise is there seems worse than it really is? That has been the only comlaint I've had about the Durango. I am very happy it. PieceOCrapCar 05-08-2006, 09:11 AM I have a 2006 and had NO windnoise at all...was very quiet. Then opened the passenger door against some wind (15-20 mph) and heard a popping noise. Once started driving again, sounded like the door was wide open! Took it in, covered by warranty, have had to have the door adjusted 3 times (this happened in late March) but noise is SIGNIFICANTLY less, still there if it is really windy but barely noticeable even then! steelerguy 05-08-2006, 05:14 PM Got an 05 Durango SLT/Hemi. Had a 36K bumper-to-bumper but Dodge would not cover the WS noise because of the non-Dodge parts installed. Still makes the same noise though I am getting enough chips to turn it in to my insurance company for a replacement. x3mtm 05-15-2006, 01:41 PM I Have A 99 Durango And Had The Same Problem. I Looked Outside And The Rubber Moulding Was Coming Off The Windshield. It Seemed The The Adhesive It Has Had Gone Away. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
