Pull the distributor cap and check for cut or exposed wires on the pickup coil. When was the last time you drove the car? If it is the original engine then I doubt it has a crank position sensor. I.E. new carpet A/C stereo and some body work. i baught the car with a 3.1 out of a camaro. i was told it could be that but i was thinking that maybe it was an o2 sensor. that is the sensor right before the intake manifold, it is duct taped around it and i need to replace the tubing. the car has been running the day before would it go out of timing like that? goatnipples2002 11-03-2005, 09:48 AM Our cars do not have crank position sensors or cam position sensors. Those are items for DIS. The later 60* v6 have these. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
