I HAVE AN 89 L COUPE AUTO W/SPORT SHIFT (FOR PARTS) AND AN 88 COUPE 5 SPD THAT I AM TRYING TO REBUILD. I'M JUST ABOUT TO HAVE A BLOCK SENT OUT TO CLEANED AND BEARINGS, GASKETS AND RINGS REPLACED. THE HEADS THAT I'M GOING TO USE (OFF THE 89') HAD A LOUD TICK BUT THE CAR WAS DRIVEN INTO THE GARAGE THAT IT WAS DISMANTLED IN (IT STILL HAD QUITE A BIT OF POWER. I'VE ALREADY CHECKED OUT "THEPARTSBIN" FOR PRICES ON VARIOUS PARTS BUT I STILL CAN'T FIND STOCK CAMSHAFTS AND AN OIL PUMP (I CALLED A LOCAL PARTS STORE ABOUT THE OIL PUMP AND IT WAS $188.00?!). ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE HELPFUL AND APPRECIATED (EXCEPT PERFORMANCE MODS, AT THIS TIME). ALSO WHERE CAN I FIND A GOOD SHOP MANUAL (NOT A SERVICE MANUAL, I ALREADY HAVE HAYNES).

THANKS IN ADVANCE,

STEVE CARSON

For the manual, I assume you're talking about the the manual that the Acura techs use ?
If so, go here

If so, go here (http://www.helminc.com/helm/Result.asp?Style=&Mfg=AHA&Make)
For parts, go here (http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.net/) This site a kick ass, it has scanned pics, and is the only site I found that sells parts that other Acura dealers don't.

Good luck.
