Where would the starter be located? Thanks. pryornfld 10-21-2005, 03:45 PM Does your van want to start? Try checking the fuel switch in the back of the van where the tire jack is located. Make sure it didn't trip. LeSabre97mint 10-21-2005, 11:40 PM My 96 Windstar will not start. I believe its the starter. I tried jumping it and it won't work. Does anyone have any ideas? Are they bright? When you hooked up the jumper cables, did you hear the vehical that you jumped it with slow down because of the extra load? Your starter is located on the front lower side of the engine. Make sure you disconnect your battery before you start removing it. Get back to use with answers to the above questions and we'll go from there. Regards Dan dobermankid 10-22-2005, 07:30 AM I got it working. It was the starter.
