BCM location

I am having a problem with most of my body control functions.
The automatic door locks, twilight sentinel, automatic trunk closer, and the gas popper don't work. There's also an idiot light that says my truck's ajar quasi lit. This all happened following the nine days of rain we've had.

The question is: Does the park avenue have a body control module which would control all these things that are not working. If so, where is it located and what does it look like. Thanks

This location is for a 97 PA. According to my local Buick dealer, the BCM is located behind the glove box. There are two control modules just behind the box, one in front of the other on a mounting bracket. The one toward the fire wall is the BCM. The easiest way to get to it is to drop the plastic panel directly under the glove box. You can then reach up and "unlatch" the module from the bracket and pull it down. There are two plugs (different sizes so you can't mix them up when reinstalling). There is a locking mechanism on each of the connectors that hold them in place. Push IN on the plug and squeeze the release tab, then pull the connector free of the module.

My dealer told me that a new one costs about $220. I couldn't find one after-market for my car. I don't know if there is a programming procedure necessary after a new one has been installed. Good luck.
