Changing '01 Grand Am Headlight Bulbjwb2 10-17-2005, 02:28 PM Does anyone know where I can find instructions on changing H/L bulb on 2001 Grand Am? Ridenour 10-17-2005, 03:34 PM Welcome to the forum. There's not exactly a whole lot to it. Remove the ram air shroud by pulling out the plastic pins. Next, using pliers, pull toward the engine / up on the 2 metal clips that hold the headlight assembly in place. You can now pull the headlight assembly forward enough to reach back there and turn / pull out the bulb connection. Do this with the other connections as well, and you can remove it, put the new bulb in the socket, and do everything reverse. tommy00gt1 10-17-2005, 04:06 PM Also, be careful with that round plastic black ring that holds the bulb in place.... they break so damn easy. Mine did not break for me, but I've read some posts by others and I guess they break very easily. Good luck. I got both bulbs replaced and broke both plastic rings...go figure. I barely turned them and the tabs that hold the ring in place broke off as if they were dry rotted. $13.00 each dealer only replacement part. jwb2 10-17-2005, 08:16 PM Welcome to the forum. It was fairly simple although I broke both plastic rings. Those things are brittle. Thanks again!
