What Repair Manual Is The Best

I’d like to ask this guestion and have some input. I was looking around for a more detailed repair manual on the blazers (year 1994 thur 1997). I have the chilton’s manuals for all the years I need, but sometimes I can’t find for more in-depth information about certain thing. Example: Steering columns. Exploded view in detail. I’ve seen that Chilton has come out with a 6 CD Auto Complete Car Care Program that claims to cover all cars from 1988 thur 1999. Has anyone tried or seen it? Is it worth buying? Is there something else out there that would be worth looking into. Share me your thoughts. :iceslolan

Forget Chiltons way to little info, also too generic. For real info try Alldata.com for factory type info including diagnostic trouble trees, recalls and detailed TSB info.

also mitchell on demand is very good and detailed to your specific car. http://www.ondemand5.com/default1.asp If your looking for a hard copy. Ebay is a great resource for factory service manuals.

I just purchased the actual GM service manual for my truck and I am literally consumed reading everything in it.

Everything is just so easy now.

Check on ebay for your year.

Like BlazerLT said the factory manual is the best repair Manuals.
Or like maxwedge says.
Or for 24.95$ a year you can get a online DIY repair info sub from ALL Data.
It has all repair info and keeps you up to date on all and new TSB"s for a year.

Very true, or for that money sometimes you can buy the actual manual cheap. I got mine for US$26 two weeks ago.

I can't stop turning the pages, I just found out how to change an overhead console map light bulb. I thought it was going to take an hour, it took 40 seconds with the manual instructions.

Paid for itself right there.

Thanks everyone. For your input. LT. I just got off of EBay and pickup a 1994 GM Blazer LT Tahoe Shop Repair + Service and Electrical diagram Manuals for $20.50, shipping included. Now I can hardly wait till it comes in. Thanks again LT for the idea of going to EBay. As we say in Hawaii Much Mahalo's.

Check Autozones on-line repair manual before you buy a subscription to ALLDATA.

I bought a one year subscription to ALLDATA, but I found that it lacks in depth information in many areas.

Before any of you ALLDATA sales reps flame me, here is where I have found the ALLDATA S10 manual is lacking so far:

No information on replacing cylinder head gasket
No information on replacing exhaust manifold gasket

So I decided to check for the info on autozone and it came right up.

I won't be re-newing my subscription to ALLDATA. It just isn't worth it imho.

Good grief
Something strange or wrong or missing with your all data sub.
They have a email or no you can contact them and they will provide you with the info you need if it is not in your sub.
But it should have been in there.
Auto zone gets there info from all data because auto zone owns all data. If one has it the other one does to.
Contact either one and they will help you out on the problem.
