What performance parts do I need for 95 Riv

I recently purchased a 95 Rivi with around 89K, and seems to be either too high geared or underpowered. My local mechanic (and friend) says it runs great, but it seems to be a tad slower than my mother's 96 PA Ultra.

So I have a few questions that I hope somebody here can answer, for I can't any answers elsewhere.

1. Is there a supercharger upgrade that can be installed in conjunction with a chip to boost torque at lower RPM?

2. Is the transmission too high geared for the occasional bout with an import?

3. Can the 3.8 SC be set up for both high performance (I want it to be feared!) and reliability?

4. Are there any suspension upgrades that can improve cornering substantially?

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

your moms 96 ultra probably has a series II 3800 so it has about 15 more horse power..

mods i would suggest:

1)remove the restrictive pipe just after the cat ( its like a resonator internally) have an exh shop weld a regular piece of pipe in its place

2) install a K&N cold air induction air intake & filter

3) have a shift kit installed

4) a smaller super charger pulley

5) fresh set of delco platinum plugs and taylor ignition wires

for the suspension you can try installing a set of air bags inside the rear springs and make sure the rear air struts arent blown out, but these cars are not very good around sharp turns at high speeds.. i have a 92 bonneville and it will out handle my 95 riv by far any day of the week w/ no problem
