which belts and hosesrubs 10-12-2005, 04:38 PM Hi, I need to change the drive belt(not the timing belt that is already changed) and hoses on 98 camry with 128k miles since they are never changed. I have a mechanic who do all the repairs on this car and i always buy parts from dealer or online. Now i see lot of different types of belts and hoses on the website. Normally which belt is referred as drive belt and which hoses need to be changed? Thanks --rubs Brian R. 10-14-2005, 12:40 AM Change the radiator hoses and the heater hoses. Change both accessory belts. Alternator/air conditioner and power steering. Daniel M. Dreifus 10-14-2005, 01:17 PM Maybe. I check the hoses for swelling, softness, any signs of damage or leakage. At 136,000 miles they still look perfectly fine. I do change the drive belts though. Daniel M. Dreifus 10-14-2005, 01:18 PM Maybe. Something about the way Toyota makes hoses - they last far, far longer than aftermarket. rubs 10-14-2005, 04:32 PM Anyidea how much will be labor te replace the both the drivebelt and hoses(if required).
