How do I get at the Fuel Pressure Regulator in my 98 Chev 3/4ton Suburban 7.4L V8? Do I need to remove the manifold to access it?

Is it TBI? Because I just TONIGHT took the one off my 94. Let me know and I can share my experience.

Out of curiosity, why are you interested in getting to it?

I'm assuming you have the CPSI system. You do have to remove the upper intake. Here's a rundown:

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Relieve the fuel system pressure.
Remove the upper manifold assembly.
Remove the fuel pressure regulator vacuum tube.
Disassemble the fuel pressure regulator snapring retainer.
Remove the fuel pressure regulator assembly and the O-rings. Discard the O-rings, filter and back-up O-rings.
